Domanic chuckled.
"Well ya reap what ya sow and quite frankly ya sowed it so tight Id be lying if I said I had a lick of remorse for how comfortable ya are now, hell its actually funny how well all this is cheering me up right now." Domanic went into a full blown laugh till it turned into more coughing.

"Spose it goes both ways though, I can see the humor in how the guy who put ya in a good deal of pain now is in pain himself, hell ya didn't even need to do anything to accomplish it, it's a win win right?"

Suddenly, the sound of someone limping could be heard. It was obvious that it wasn't someone pleasant. The Vice President entered the room and went into his bunk. He then turned over to look at Domanic with a small grin on his face, "That does sound bad but trust me things aren't going too well for me either," Kent pointed at his wound," But now that I'm here, I'll be able to cheer you up. Won't I?"

(time skip time it is.)

Domanic was on his bunk laying down resting, His hat over his face like normal making it hard to tell of he was asleep or awake coughing and groans could be heard.
"I aint felt this bad since I got food poisoning a few years back...and at least then I wasn't rocking everywhere on a Submarine helmed by someone whos closest experience with operating it is probably playing with a toy sub in a damn bath." he said to no one in particular."

"Not everyone can reach the heights of my family but I think we should also try to help in our own small way," Kent flinched a bit when Domanic coughed, "Maybe its time for me to go. I think you should get some rest. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen especially in a place like this." (I'm once again sorry for all the late responses, I've been neglecting the FTEs way too much. After this, I think we should probably do a time skip so we can get evil Kent in).

"Well spose thats whats important if your really wanna see change, but as for me, ain't nothing so grand. I'm doing rather well for myself since I became so well known from all the tourney winnings, to them survival stories, and hell taught a few high profile bodyguards these past few years, wouldn't be all too surprised if you hired someone I taught." Domanic finished his drink but briefly began coughing rather violently into his hand.

"Excuse me, that damn coughs been getting rather worse lately, in all honesty been thinking bout retiring and taking it easy, all the traveling ive been doing these last few years been taking there toll it seems." Domanic took another puff of his cigar. "Ya know my doctor always says I should quit but ya know its probably the only thing that helps my ass relax these days."

"You are right but then again challenge might be a bit of an understatement," Kent smiled as he began to reminisce about his past,"Now, after my five successful years as mayor, I had proved my basic competence so my father lowered the age requirement for governor to 15. This was to test whether I could handle pressure and if I would live to my supposed potential. My task was as you already know to become Governor and fix the poorest state in the nation. This state was one of the only states that had never elected a Steel and had therefore suffered the consequences. The election campaign was tough and stressful but in end I managed to win a narrow over the opposition which had dominated that state for decades. However, winning the election was just the easy part, I had to spend countless hours micromanaging the state in order to stamp out corruption, reduce crime and improve the economy. All this stress may even be what caused my love of golf because that's all did in what little free time I had back then. However, in the end I succeeded, making the state one of the best in the nation would've taken a lot time but in my four short years I managed to turn it into an average state which was still a very big achievement and after I left they even had the good judgement to elect another Steel. After proving how good I really was, I was made Vice President at the age of 19 and now I'm getting a taste of national politics and planning what to do whenever my old man plans to retire. Each job taught me something: the mayoralty gave me practical experience, the governorship allowed me enact change and help real people and it's a model for a plan to do for the entire country and the Vice Presidency is just teaching me a bit about national politics. To sum it all up, I love this country and its people and I will do whatever it takes to make them succeed. How are things going on your end?"

"Yeah me and my brother aren't close. Maybe we can talk about it some other time," Kent nervously laughed," Well, enough about my brother let's get back to my career. Becoming mayor was pretty easy. That position had always been the first office a Steel held and that wasn't going to change anytime soon. I won the nomination and election easily. I had been taught politics and governance from I day so I already knew how manage things. However, there are certain things that theory can't teach you so this allowed me to gain practical experience and exhibit and refine my talents. I also really enjoyed being able to improve and manage the institutions and place that I had grown up. Because of hundreds of years of effective Steel rule, my hometown was one of the best in the nation so all I had to do was maintain the status quo but I still managed to make numerous improvements. Overall, it was an easy job but it was a good learning experience and it allowed me to refine my skills before I was faced with a big challenge."

Domanic looked surprised at the outburst.
"Huh seemed rather hot under the collar over that brother of yours, dont sound too keen on bringing it up though, cant say I can relate since I grew up with a foster home. Wasn't a great place and the other kids around weret the friendliest of sorts but got to go hunting every month, taught me the skills I have now and ultimately helped me drag my ass out of poverty." Domanic began coughing rather hard. "err where was I? ow right, as for the actual story, sounds like your old man managed ta bring ya up rather well if he had the confidence in ya at that age.

Domanic took another puff of his cigar and took another swig of his whisky. so hows about that other story?
(also sorry about the wait on my end.)

Kent took a shot of whisky and started to tell his story, "As you already know, I am a member of the Steel Family. We have dominated the politics of whichever country we reside in for centuries and our children are taught how to lead from a very early age. This has allowed us to consistently produce quality administrators and I truly believe that our leadership has helped this great nation be as great as it is. Well, now that I've talked a bit about my family, I'll move on to how I became a mayor."

"It was my tenth birthday and my father, who had just become the president of this great nation, decided to surprise me by lowering the age requirement to run for mayoralties to ten and making me a candidate in the next mayoral election in my hometown. I don't know why he did it considering how controversial that decision was but I assume he must have sensed some sort of potential within me. However, even though that decision was quite unexpected, I carried out my father's wishes and ran for mayor which is something that the bastard that I used to call my brother wasn't able to do," Kent lost his composure for a second but when he noticed his slip up, he laughed and tried to dodge it, "Remember... how I was a bit shocked about your abilities? Well, I guess... I'm not one to talk considering I did... become a mayor at ten"

"Well any good tale is best to start with the beginning so sounds ta me like your hometown is as good a start as any."
Domanic took a swig of his cup of whisky.

"Ok, I'll go get some then," Kent walked off to fetch the whisky.

He came back and sat down with a bottle and two cups and after he poured himself a drink, he began to talk, "It's ok, I do have some things that I can talk about. However, I haven't had to deal with the hardships of growing old or surviving in the wilderness so I suspect my experiences will be quite different from yours. Most of my struggles have been to do with the offices I've held in my short and but incredibly successful political career. My first post was the mayor of my hometown then I became the governor of the most impoverished state in the nation and as you already now I'm the Vice President. And you know what, I'll let you choose which one I'll talk about first."

Domanic slowly to stretch.
"The real challenge is actually getting this old body moving, you go through as much as I have and nature tends to take its toll for the experience." Domanic finally finished stretching and slowly sat back down. "whisky would be mighty fine about now."

"Since were discussing experiences with one another, mind if I ask of any interesting experiences you've had? Don't mean to pry though ill understand if ya don't."

After he heard about what was apparently easy for Domanic, you could tell that Kent was extremely surprised,"You're obviously good at what you do..." Kent stuttered, "but I didn't realise it was even possible for someone to be that proficient at shooting? What even is a challenge for you?" Kent then got up, "Anyway, is whisky good for you?"
